Question

How confidential is your service?

Answer

Confidentiality is really important to the running of any sexual health service. There are strict laws about using, sharing, disclosing, storing and transferring patient-identifiable information. This means any personal information you provide us with will be held in the strictest confidence. Computerised information about our patients is coded and staff will only be able to access patient-identifiable information if needed for treatment and care. You have the right to get a copy of the information that is held about you. This is known as a subject access request. Find out how to request your personal information.
