MYNO
MYNO is an Integrated partnership between Early break, HCRG and Proud Trust, which offers a combined sexual health/substance misuse service in Oldham for young people 13 – 19 years old (up to 25 years old if there is a special educational need and/or Looked After Child status).
If you would like to refer a young person for support around their sexual health please complete our referral form and return to vcl.orbishyp@nhs.net
Primary care urgent referral form
The primary care urgent referral form should be completed by primary care colleagues across Oldham, Rochdale and Bury to refer patients from their practice into the specialist sexual health service.
Urgent referrals can be made for the patients below:
- Patients who have tested positive for Gonorrhoea/Syphilis or HIV
- Patients who require an IUD (copper coil) for emergency contraception
This form should be completed by a registered professional.
We aim to contact your patients within 48 hours of a referral (or the next working day if this is a bank holiday or weekend) appropriate to the reason for referral.
Psychosexual therapy referral (GP referral only)
The Psychosexual Therapy Service offers brief psychological-based sex therapy interventions to help address sexual problems experienced by individuals over 16 years of age. The Psychosexual Therapy Service is accessible by GP referral only.
Before referring to our service please read our referral guidance to ensure the referral is appropriate. Please complete the referral form and send the form via email, with the subject heading Psychosexual referral to:

Targeted 1-1 education support referral
We provide bespoke, targeted 1-1 sessions between the young person and one of our Education and Wellbeing Specialist Workers. Usually this will be for an average of 6 sessions (with each session lasting between 30 minutes and 1 hour), although shorter interventions can be developed if necessary.
Sessions can be arranged at a number of venues such as:
- In schools or colleges
- Oldham, Bury or Rochdale sexual health services
- A drop in clinic
- A mutually agreed venue

Secondary care urgent referral form
The secondary care urgent referral form should be completed by secondary care colleagues to refer patients into the specialist sexual health service.
Who can be referred?
- Patients who have tested positive for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)
- Patients who require an IUD (copper coil) for emergency contraception.
We aim to contact your patients within 48 hours of a referral (or the next working day if this is a bank holiday or weekend) appropriate to the reason for referral.
Vulnerable adult pathway
Our outreach nurses provide free & confidential sexual healthcare from our hubs as well as community settings. These services are available to anyone deemed a vulnerable adult aged 18+ residing in Oldham, Rochdale and Bury requiring extra support in accessing sexual health services.
Key vulnerable adults we support include:
• Anyone experiencing homelessness.
• Anyone with substance misuse issues/injecting drug user
• Anyone involved in selling or exchanging sex.
• Anyone living with physical or learning disabilities.
• Refugees and Asylum Seekers
• People experiencing mental health issues.
• Women (including trans & non-binary) with active Health Visiting/Family Nurse Partnership/Social Work involvement.
• Women (including trans & non-binary) who have had children removed from their care.
